I have a 2 bed flat in a block on its own in Bristol. It's for over 50s only as it is an ex-sheltered block which is very well kept, clean andquiet. I am on the fifth floor (two lifts). The block itself backs onto a park (Victory Park) and is very pleasant and airey. There is a caretaker on reception most days, a laundry room on ground floor which is in with the rent of £78 per week. Parking in the forecourt or a garage is available at an extra £8 per week if needed. Low level steps to front and disabled access to rear of block. 15 mins bus ride to City Centre and 30 mins bus other direction to Bath City Centre. BR Temple Meads is 10 mins bus away (Paddington/Waterloo).
The only reason I want to move is to be nearer my grandchildren in North London. I can't move before September 2010 for other commitments. If you are on your own you would still be eligible for a 2 bed as I was offered this flat on my own. Also ifyou have a partner they can be under 50. I am told that children need to be over 18 but I need to check this out. Pets OK if well behaved. This is a really nice block to live in, and not like living in a flat really as it feels so open and pleasant. I am looking for London, Essex, Herts, anywhere with easy access to North London. One or two bed.
